Greenlight for 86-home Persimmon scheme

Persimmon has secured planning permission for an 86-home development in the Midlands.

The housebuilder’s Charles Church business has secured unanimous planning approval for the new units on Tythe Barn Lane in Dickens Heath.

Whitlocks Reach will offer a mix of one- to five-bedroom homes, with the site delivering over two acres of public open space. Every home will include solar panels and electric vehicle charging points.

The housebuilder is also contributing around £2m towards local highway infrastructure, schools, healthcare, play areas, bio-diversity net gain and public footpath improvements through a Section 106 agreement.

"We are thrilled to have secured unanimous approval for our Whitlocks Reach development,” said Nick Wilkins, technical director at Charles Church Central.

“This new sustainable development will bring much-needed new homes for local people in Dickens Heath."
